There is perhaps no place in the world that combines dramatic scenery with golf the way New Zealand does. From the snow capped mountain to the jagged coastlines and jutting fjords, you will play world-class courses in a picture-book setting. For golfers that like to combine some sightseeing with their trip, New Zealand offers many unique experiences at your doorstep.

Variety and choice is also part of your New Zealand golf experience. For a country roughly the size of California, there are more than 400 courses that exist today. The courses are also scattered about the country, so you can play near a range of settings, such as a dormant volcano, glaciers, dense forest, or sheer cliffs.

Climate

The climate in New Zealand is very moderate year-round, and golf can be played in any season. Temperatures rarely fall below 32°F or rise above 86°F in the populated areas. Another appealing aspect of New Zealand’s weather is that being in the Southern Hemisphere, it is summer there during our winter months, making December–March ideal months to visit.

While the temperatures are moderate enough to play golf throughout the year, you will find significantly more daylight hours during “winter” months, allowing plenty of time for both golf and sightseeing.
